About Us

Trinity Dog Training Inc. is a family business owned and operated by Rick & Kerry Clift. Rick is our training director and oversees all aspects of our training programs from initial consultations to hands-on instruction during client lessons. Rick grew up in Indiana and has been around dogs all of his life. He began training them as a hobby several years ago mainly just for fun. While he loves all dogs, Rick admits to having a special soft spot for hunting and retrieving breeds as well as the often misunderstood "bully" breeds.

After meeting Gabriela Urevitch several years ago, Rick decided to devote himself to dog training full-time and became her apprentice. The extensive training he received from Gabriela during his apprenticeship combined with his own prior experiences in dog training have helped Rick become one of the most knowledgeable and respected dog trainers in the greater Tampa Bay area.

Rick has successfully trained and rehabilitated hundreds of dogs since taking ownership of Trinity Dog Training. His approach focuses on "Real World Training for Real World Situations" in a straight-forward and common sense way. Rick’s experience in canine psychology, his real world approach to problem solving, and his passion for teaching others the secrets of successful dog-owner relationships have made Trinity Dog Training one of the best Private Dog Training Schools in America and a one of a kind in Florida.
