Boot Camp Details:
- We take a maximum of two dogs at a time in Boot Camp in order to maximize the bonding/training experience and allow us to concentrate on their particular issues.
- Dogs in Boot Camp spend the entire day with the trainer, be it on the training field, with other people and dogs during private lessons, on the road to in-home appointments or at the trainer's house for lunch and on rainy days.
- The Boot Camp program is not for everyone. We carefully screen our potential Boot Campers for temperament and health. Extreme issues such as aggression and phobias are welcomed in Boot Camp if your initial evaluation recommends it. On the other hand, completely "normal" dogs may also be welcomed in Boot Camp, regardless of issues.
- Because your dog will spend the entire day with its trainer he/she will be under constant training and supervision and will receive undivided attention from the trainer regarding solving his/her issues.
- You will not be involved in the initial training phase during a Boot Camp program. Your trainer will perform the bulk of the training and problem solving in your absence and can accomplish your goals in a matter of just a couple of days. Our experience allows us to achieve results immediately without further confusing your dog.
- During Boot Camp your dog will spend the night in a luxurious climate controlled indoor/outdoor run at Keystone Kennels located off of Keystone Road in Tarpon Springs.
- Upon completion of the Boot Camp you will be given a demonstration of your dog's performance and commands learned. You will then be taught how to work with your newly improved dog in a series of scheduled lessons. Your first lesson takes place the day you pickup your dog from Boot Camp.
- All levels of obedience are available in Boot Camp Programs. See below for more details.
- All dogs must go through an initial evaluation and consultation before signing up for Boot Camp.
- Boot Camp is only available for dogs 6 months of age or older. Rabies vaccination and proof of immunizations are required.
- Out of town/state dogs are happily accepted in Boot Camp.
